Job Summary:

CFID Uganda is currently seeking skilled Welders to join our team. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in welding and a strong understanding of welding processes, safety protocols, and quality control. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding work, ensuring the integrity of welds, and adhering to all safety guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Educational Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or an equivalent qualification in welding or a related field.
  • Experience Requirements:
    • At least 2+ years of experience as a welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
    • Strong experience with various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and others.
  • Key Skills and Attributes:
    • Proficient knowledge of welding processes, including different types of welding (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.).
    • Familiarity with welding safety protocols, including the use of protective gear and safe work practices.
    • Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality, accurate welds.
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines.
    • Understanding of quality control standards and ability to meet or exceed industry standards.
    • Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with other team members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding operations on various materials, ensuring precise and high-quality welds.
  • Work with blueprints, sketches, and work orders to understand welding requirements and specifications.
  • Inspect welded joints and materials to ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and wear protective gear to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of welding projects.
  • Maintain and care for welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
  • Report any welding issues or defects and collaborate on finding solutions.
  • Follow all company procedures related to welding, maintenance, and safety protocols.
