School Receptionist | Administrative Assistant

Flip Africa is hiring a proactive and highly organized School Receptionist | Administrative Assistant to play a key role in the daily operations of an International Secondary School. This role involves front-office management, stakeholder communication, and administrative support, ensuring a welcoming and professional school environment. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong customer service skills, capable of handling newsletters, social media management, and multitasking efficiently. Experience in an international school setting is highly preferred, and a background in first aid is an added advantage.

Salary: UGX 800,000 Gross
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative & Secretarial Duties:
- Manage front-office operations, scheduling, correspondence, and document management.
- Provide secretarial support to school leadership.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the first point of contact for parents, students, staff, and external partners.
- Ensure timely and professional communication.
- Design & Marketing:
- Create promotional materials for school events.
- Manage social media updates and assist in branding efforts.
- Multitasking & Proactiveness:
- Anticipate challenges, adapt to changing circumstances, and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Finance and Procurement:
- Manage the compilation and maintenance of the school equipment inventory.
- Liaise with the school accountant and management on budgets, expenditures, and accountability.
- Pupil Data:
- Keep records of pupil absences.
- Report pupil absences to staff at the main campus and complete pupil absence forms.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in an international secondary school setting is highly preferred.
- Strong background in customer service, front-office operations, and stakeholder communication.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools and marketing strategies.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of literacy, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the school community.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and address challenges creatively.
- Added Advantage:
- Experience in an international school with a secondary level.

Standard of Service & Working Hours
- Required to work:
- Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
