TotalEnergies Uganda is hiring a Precom Supervisor Piping Offsite with the following key duties and responsibilities;

 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To review the ICAPS status index related to his discipline in collaboration with his construction team and commissioning team including ICAPS coordinator.
  • To verify all check and test sheet are properly populated into ICAPS, perform gap analysis between MDR mechanical completion system and Totalenergies mechanical completion system ICAPS to highlight any deviation to the GS EP EXP 101,103 and 105 as per contract.
  • Collaborate and challenge contractor in relation to test pack, line walk, hydrotest, reinstatement and flange management in line GS EP EXP 101,103 and 105.
  • According to the sub-system delivery skyline, you ensure adequate execution to meet mechanical completion objectives in order to avoid any delay or impact on the Ready for commissioning skyline.
  • Highlight to Industrial Area superintendent any potential inconsistencies between precomissioning and commissioning sequences
  • To ensure that the quality of the piping and vessels erection work (other than weld acceptance) performed on site by the contractor and sub-contractors complies with contract requirements.
  • Liaise with all the Superintendents and Supervisors to make sure that the construction complies with all Project Design Documentation, with Company Standards and Procedures, and with applicable international Codes, Standards and Practices.
  • Demonstrate personal commitment to the HSE Policy, maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company HSE standards, actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes
  • Create an environment in which a focus on value awareness is developed and constantly think in terms of cost/benefit trade-off.

 

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • HND/ Diploma or equivalent mechanical or related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in Oil and Gas and Petrochemical industry specifically infrastructure/construction projects, with thorough knowledge on various safety regulations, standards, procedures etc.
  • Candidate must have previous experience in HSE Supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of Total group standards and/or previous experience with other major IOC’s in large oil and gas construction projects.
  • Good presentation skills. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in the implementation of behavioral safety systems and analyzing the data produced.
  • Understanding of oil and gas production equipment, processes, and utility systems
  • Experienced in performing HSE audits, inspections and reviews within Project and Contractors.
  • Experienced in investigation, review and analysis of work-related accident/ incident including root cause and lessons learned and ensuring implementation and close-out of preventive and corrective actions.
  • Experienced in providing safety training and awareness courses to company staff and Contractors.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office. English mandatory.
  • Must be able to work on their own initiative and proactively interact with discipline teams to obtain information.
  • Must be able to react quickly and decisively to constantly changing demands and circumstances and be able to identify, analyze & solve problems within the scope of the role.
  • Ability and willingness to effectively and robustly challenge the views of contractors and internal contacts.
  • English mandatory. Valid Medical Certificate which complies with company Standards
