Description

CoRSU Hospital is hiring a Maintenance Technician to offer maintenance and general technical support in Welding, and associated areas of Plumbing, carpentry, and Joinery works of the infrastructural and equipment maintenance works within the hospital.

Payment Grade: Full-time
Reporting to: Estates Officer
Department: Human Resource & Administration

Key result areas

  1. The structural integrity and functionality of hospital buildings and installations are preserved by performing regular inspections, repairs, and preventative measures, ensuring patient and staff safety.
  2. The functionality and safety of all hospital furniture and equipment are maintained by ensuring regular inspection and repairs;
  3. Maintenance records for all hospital infrastructure, furniture and equipment are regularly updated; and
  4. Timely and effective reporting on the status of all hospital infrastructure, furniture and equipment.

Required qualifications, skills, experience and attributes

  • A Minimum of Craft Part 2 (Advanced Craft Certificate) in brick laying and Concrete practice or carpentry and Joinery works.
  • Diploma in Civil or Water Engineering.
  • Knowledge and experience in welding and Metal Fabrication.
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in a related field.
  • Experience in carpentry and joinery work.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing works.
  • Knowledge and skills in repair, servicing and maintenance of metallic facilities and equipment.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Engineering drawing software (CAD).
  • Should be 25 years and above.
