Hariss International is hiring a Machine Operator- Confectionery
Division / Department: Confectionary
Reports to: Production Team Leader-Confectionery
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work Area under Lollipop
- Milk Preparation, Glucose dumping, Sugar dumping
- HMI operator to mix all and deliver to belt
- Batch roller, Rope Size Adjuster, Stick Inserter
- GEA Twister wrapper
- Bulk packing and Boxing
Work Area under Candy
- Milk Preparation, Glucose dumping, Sugar dumping
- HMI operator to mix all and deliver to belt
- Batch roller, Rope Size Adjuster, cutter
- Candy double side twister
- Bulk packing and Boxing
Work Area under Gum
- Gum Dumper, heater and mixer
- Extruder, Ball Forming
- Ball Coating
- Gum Paper wrapping machine
- Bulk packing and Boxing
Others
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
- Operate and monitor production line(s) to ensure efficiency.
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws and conduct quality checks periodically
- Expedite repairs to line, working with maintenance as necessary (Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot problems during machine operation
- Maintain activity logs
- Test operation of machines periodically
- Provide relevant information regarding progress to supervisor
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of a Diploma’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 2+ year experience in a similar role in a busy environment.
Key Requirements:
- At least 2-3 years hands-on in the Food Industry. Beverage manufacture a distinct advantage.
- Familiar with Confectionary plant/Factory.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
