Silverback Lodge is hiring a Head Butler to oversee all guest-facing services, ensuring visitors—many traveling from the US or Europe for once-in-a-lifetime gorilla treks—experience seamless hospitality that reflects Uganda’s warmth and the lodge’s commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and train a team of butlers to deliver personalized, high-quality service.
- Coordinate guest requests, from room setups to dining preferences, in a remote forest setting.
- Ensure cleanliness, comfort, and readiness of guest rooms and public areas.
- Collaborate with lodge management to maintain service standards amid Bwindi’s challenging logistics (e.g., limited road access).
- Handle guest inquiries or complaints with professionalism, enhancing their stay.
Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of experience in hospitality, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills—fluency in English is essential for international guests.
- Ability to work in a rural, off-grid environment with a passion for Uganda’s natural heritage.
