General Manager

The General Manager will be expected to lead our manufacturing operations, drive productivity, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the highest levels of quality. Your strategic mindset will help us continue to innovate and maintain our competitive edge in the marketplace.
Reports to: Chief Executive
Officer Office Station: Midigo, Yumbe District.

Responsibilities
- Overseeing operations. The General Manager is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of all operations, including production, supply chain management and quality control.
- Setting targets. The General Manager sets daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production targets and establishes performance standards for quality and performance.
- Managing Resources. The General Manager manages the budget and resources for the areas of responsibility.
- Ensuring Compliance. The General Manager ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Improving Processes. The General Manager strategies for the process improvements and analyses data to develop metrics and strategies to improve profitability.
- Leading a team. The General Manager leads a team of department heads and staff and is responsible for training and mentoring them.
- Reporting. The General Manager provides department productivity, process, and efficiency reports to the CEO.
- Overseeing Maintenance and procurement. The General Manager oversees all maintenance and procurement.
- Fundraising. The General Manager should be able to develop fund-able grant proposals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related course from a recognized University.
- 3-5 years experience in leadership, team management, and resources.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to facilitate budget development and management reporting are required.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills are required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relations with all stakeholders at all levels are required.
- Being detail-oriented with excellent time management skills to set priorities for self and team members is required.
- The ability to generate tasks and set targets for team members is required.
- Languages. The ability to fluently speak Lugbarati alongside either Madi or Kakwa will be an added advantage.
