Hariss International Limited is hiring a Forklift Operator (2)
Division / Department: Transport
Reports to: Forklift Supervisor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate and relocate merchandizes.
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the machine.
- Responsible for products for storage.
- Ensures goods are accurate and free of damage.
- Performs picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards
- Efficiently moves product from one staging area to another.
- Maintains the facility equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly manner.
- On daily basis inspects and perform minor maintenance on forklift.
- Ensures proper stock rotation.
- Assists in maintaining security in the ware house and maintaining cleanliness and safety measures.
- Assists in physical inventory counting.
- Keeps appropriate reports for products when required.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of a certificate in a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy environment.
Key Requirements:
- A defensive training certification is a must
- A valid driver’s license with the correct class
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
