Description
Abacus Parenteral Drugs Limited is hiring an Electrical Technician to achieve engineering/maintenance targets and implement a preventive maintenance culture through a diverse team of people providing leadership and guidance in GMP, OHS and cost control.
Reporting To: Maintenance Engineer Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation
Technical Role
- Ensures all maintenance tasks are executed using the appropriate safety standards and are compliant with policies, regulations, and SOP’s.
- Ensure that Maintenance Department targets are being met, such as minimum downtime and breakdowns.
- Conducting root cause analyses to identify machinery issues and diagnostic support.
- Supervise maintenance processes so that all work is completed as efficiently as possible and to the required quality standards.
- Review standard maintenance tasks and other relevant documents to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Manage the electrical maintenance team via effective training, mentoring, coaching, motivating, performance managing and communication.
- Maintain an understanding of the principles of GMP as applied to plant and equipment.
- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
- Designing and implementing work schedules for the electrical staff.
- Inspecting and assessing the work done by the electrical staff.
- Reading and interpreting design schematics to ensure the proper installation of electrical systems.
- Troubleshooting major system failures and equipment malfunctions.
- Repairing and maintaining electrical equipment.
- Overseeing the purchasing and maintenance of the electrical equipment on-site.
- Ensuring the work is completed on schedule and to code.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work area.
- Contribute to the development of the maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
- Participate in coordination of projects (e.g., renovations).
- Providing daily report to manager/HOD.
Records
- All work done records align with SOPs.
- Breakdown record and root cause analysis.
Any Other Duties
- Ensure that any other duty assigned by HOD/line manager is executed to Management expectations.
Authorities
- To inspect entire facilities, building and equipment.
- To allocate the work to subordinate.
- To train subordinate.
- To install equipment against the plan.
- To maintenance and do repair work as per SOPs.
- To use maintenance module in ERP.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- Diploma in relevant course.
- 3+ years’ experience in the same area.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven history of effective supply management.
- Able to create and administer a task priority list based on company needs.
