Description
The Vision Group is hiring a Driver to transport staff and company products to assigned destinations and ensure vehicles are kept in good condition at all times.
Reports to: Transport Supervisor
Duty Station: Head Office, Kampala, Uganda
Key Result Areas:
- Handle all driving assignments as approved by the supervisor.
- Carry out daily pre- and post-vehicle maintenance checks.
- Adhere to the highest driving standards by complying with the transport policy and the Road Safety Act.
- Ensure assigned vehicle has all required documentation at all times.
- Ensure daily cleanliness of assigned vehicle.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Uganda Certificate of Education (U.C.E.).
- Certificate in defensive driving.
- Valid driving permit with at least 3 classes: B, C, D1, and E.
- At least 3 years’ driving experience in a commercial environment.
Technical Competences:
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good knowledge of Uganda’s road network.
Behavioral Competences:
- Ability to write, read, and speak English fluently.
- Excellent communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including odd hours and night shifts.
