Job Overview:
The Communications Intern will support the execution of the organization’s communications strategy. The role includes social media management, content development, and community engagement. The intern will report to the Communications Officer and may be required to travel domestically.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management (50%): Manage and grow the organization’s digital platforms and ensure project visibility online.
  • Content Development (40%): Create and edit videos, photographs, and stories to engage external stakeholders and showcase the impact of our work.
  • Community Engagement (5%): Support coordination of National Youth Working Group meetings.
  • Other Duties (5%): Assist with additional tasks as needed, including occasional work on weekends or holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant diploma or degree in Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional living in or near Kampala.
  • Experience in content production, video editing, graphic design, and photography.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva.
  • Strong communication, writing, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a diverse team environment.
