Clinical Officer (In-Charge)

OneWorld Health is hiring a Clinical Officer (In-Charge) who will supervise all facility staff, provide administrative and clinical leadership, and oversee patient care management. The role involves problem identification, process improvement, and developing corrective actions to ensure high-quality healthcare services.
Reporting to: Operations Director and Medical Director
Supervisees: All facility employee

Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Leadership & Patient Care
- Conduct medical evaluations, diagnoses, and patient management.
- Organize continuous professional development (CPD) sessions for staff.
- Participate in on-call rotation for out-of-hours care.
- Organize and participate in community health outreach programs.
- Assist in the procurement of medicines, supplies, and medical equipment in collaboration with the Medical Director.
- Contribute to quality improvement and infection control initiatives at the facility.
- Support the development and coordination of facility activity plans.
- Participate in clinical reviews and audits, providing oversight and updates.
- Work closely with community health promoters to enhance community engagement.
- Adhere to professional codes of conduct and ethics.
2. Operational & Human Resource Management
- Develop clear work plans and monitor staff and facility performance.
- Collaborate with the Operations Director to define staffing structures and strategies.
- Work with HR to recruit and onboard new staff, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and culture.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports.
- Assist the country team in developing annual budgets and strategies for the facility.
- Ensure financial integrity and promote cost efficiency across departments.
- Maintain accurate inventory of medicines and supplies, monitoring their usage.
- Spearhead marketing initiatives to promote the facility’s services and increase revenue.
- Work with the procurement committee to forecast needs and purchase equipment and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with national and local healthcare regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Community Health or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience.
- Must be registered and licensed with the Allied Health Professionals Council.
- Must hold a valid practicing license.
