Description
UMC Victoria Hospital is hiring a Claims Assistant to support the processing and administration of medical insurance claims.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will ensure timely, accurate, and compliant claims management while delivering excellent customer service.
- Receive, verify, and process medical insurance claims.
- Review claims documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Liaise with healthcare providers, insurers, and clients regarding claim requirements.
- Maintain accurate claims records and databases.
- Follow up on pending claims and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare claims reports and administrative documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Information Management, Insurance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in medical claims processing, insurance, or healthcare administration is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management systems.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
