Chinese Translators (3)

Backbone Feeds Uganda Limited is hiring professional and meticulous Chinese Translators (3) to join our team in Bombo. The successful candidates will accurately and fluently translate content from English and other languages into Chinese, ensuring alignment with the language habits and cultural background of target readers. Proficiency in reading, listening, and writing is required.

Job Description:

• Translate various documents, including contracts, reports, promotional materials, website content, etc.
• Proofread and polish existing translations to ensure precise language and consistent style.
• Make localization adjustments to align with Chinese language habits as per project requirements.
• Assist the team with other language-related tasks as needed.

Job Requirements:

1. Language Skills:
   • Native English speaker with excellent Chinese listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
   • Proficient in English and/or other languages, capable of accurately understanding source content.
   • Preference for candidates with relevant language certificates (e.g., CTTI, IELTS, TOEFL, etc.).
2. Professional Background:
   • Translation experience in fields such as construction, agriculture, feeds, etc., is preferred.
   • Familiarity with professional terminology to ensure accuracy and professionalism in translations.
3. Skills Required:
   • Proficiency in using translation tools is preferred.
   • Excellent cross-cultural communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
4. Other:
   • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment, deliver timely translations, and maintain effective communication.
   • Flexible working hours, subject to completion of assigned tasks.
