Description
Pride Bank Uganda is hiring a Branch Credit Administrator – Northern Region report to the Branch Manager responsible for reviewing credit proposals, appraise, disburse loans and maintain portfolio quality in line with the bank’s policies and procedures.
Reports to the Branch Manager
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide Secretariat support to branch credit committee meetings and ensure adherence to pre-& post disbursement conditions.
- Plan, review, and monitor the implementation of guidelines for
- portfolio quality control and submit periodic compliance reports in line with the work plan and lending policy
- Manage Branch Credit Administration of collateral, files and all loan related documentation.
- Evaluate and approve credit proposals and ensure compliance in accordance with the credit policy.
- Verify and establish authenticity and completeness of loan documentation in line with the credit policy and conduct previous day loan disbursement reviews for data accuracy and reliability on loan files and the core Banking system. Proactively identify and assess the risks faced by the Branch and maintain an effective system of credit controls to minimize exposure
- Liaise with the debt recovery team to support the process of recovery of non-performing and written off loans Responsible for closure of Credit related audit and supervisory issues as well as implementation of audit recommendations to avoid any repeat findings
- Responsible for the preparation of the Credit management & statutory
- reports within established guide lines.
- Supervise MEC & CEC postings, transfers & exits in line with the credit policies and procedures.
- Ensure daily review of loans in arrears and follow up for timely collection to maintain loan portfolio quality within the defined institution risk appetite.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline 2 Principal passes at A’ Level Credit and/or Pass in English and Mathematics at O’ level.
- 2.5 years’ experience in Credit operations.
- Good communication skills.
- Leadership skills Interpersonal skills
- Ability to demonstrate positive image of the Bank
- Must be a person of impeccable integrity.
- Should not be more than 40 years of age.
