Description

A Bell Boy is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a warm welcome, and assisting guests with their luggage and other needs during their stay. The role involves interacting with guests, handling luggage, and performing various tasks to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Reports to: Front Desk Manager, fromt desk supervisor

Department: Front Office/Front Desk

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, assisting with luggage and escorting them to their rooms.

2. Handle guest luggage, including loading and unloading from vehicles, and storing in the luggage room.

3. Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures.

4. Provide information about the hotel, its facilities, and local attractions.

5. Escort guests to their rooms, explaining hotel amenities and features.

6. Deliver luggage to guest rooms, and retrieve luggage for departing guests.

7. Assist with room moves, and handle guest requests for extra amenities (e.g., towels, blankets).

8. Maintain knowledge of hotel services, including restaurants, bars, fitness center, and spa.

9. Respond promptly to guest requests, resolving any issues or concerns.

10. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Front Desk, Housekeeping) to ensure seamless service.

11. Maintain the lobby area, ensuring cleanliness and organization.

12. Perform tasks related to concierge services, such as making restaurant reservations or arranging transportation.

Requirements:

1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

2. Ability to lift heavy luggage (up to 50 pounds/23 kg).

3. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and walk frequently.

4. Basic knowledge of local attractions and hotel services.

5. Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

6. High school diploma or equivalent.

7. Previous hospitality experience (desired).
