Hariss International Limited is hiring an AC Technician

Division / Department: Maintenance

Reports to: Utilities in charge

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Identify, Safeguard and maintain all cooling machines and systems in the Factory by making sure they are safe and in a good working condition.
  • Receive, install, inspect, repair air conditioner and maintain all the cooling machines and systems including air conditioners, chillers, cooling towers, coolers, containers and some residential fridges.
  • Ventilate equipment and controls making sure they operate efficiently and continuously. 
  • Perform regular maintenance work on cooling units. 
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions in AC’s. 
  • Make adjustment and do calibrations of thermostatic controls.
  • Install new air-conditioning systems and equipment. 
  • Clean blowers and coils, check tensions of belts and motors. 
  • Make plans and designs of new air-conditioning systems including their installation and maintenance.
  • Inspect and maintain refrigerators and ice machines, and chilled water supply systems.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

  • A minimum of an Ordinary diploma in technical training in HVAC systems or any other relevant discipline.
  • Working experience maintaining and repairing heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and other related systems such as electrical systems, DX units, heat pumps, and chillers.
  • Possess certification in refrigerant transition and recovery.
  • Possess county air conditioning mechanic license or its equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy environment.

Key Requirements: 

  • At least 2-3 years hands-on in the Food Industry. Beverage manufacturing plant is a distinct advantage.
  • Familiar with Carbonated Soft Drinks and/or water treatment plant.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practice
