Sanlam Allianz Investments Ltd (SAIL) is a leading fund manager in the region with a strong record of accomplishment in service delivery and performance. We are seeking to recruit an Investment Intern to join our Investment Team in Uganda. The ideal candidate should have analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in pursuing a career in investments. The internship is on a short-term basis.
Reporting to the General Manager, Uganda the successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- Support investment research for both fixed income and equities asset classes.
- Support the management of daily cash positions including preparations for the weekly cash meetings.
- Assist in preparation of client reports and engaging presentations regularly.
- Support in developing financial models to support investment decisions.
- Adhere to Company policies including internal and external polices, risk, compliance and regulatory standards.
- Any other responsibilities as documented in your performance objectives and as may be assigned and communicated from time to time.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related degree.
- Progress towards CFA.
- At least 0.5-2 years’ experience or internship in a similar role in the financial sector.
- Report writing, Presentation, Communication and Analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Integrity, professionalism, and willingness to learn.
- Interest in investments, asset management, or wealth management is an added advantage.
