Description
Regenerate Africa is hiring a Research Assistant (Data Collection) to carryout the following;
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The role involves supporting research projects related to regenerative economy initiatives, including data collection, literature reviews, and field-based surveys.
- The Research Assistant will help organize and document research findings, prepare reports and presentations, and contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Day-to-day tasks may include coordinating with local stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in the design of research tools and methodologies.
- The role also requires collaboration with project teams to ensure research outputs are timely, accurate, and useful for program decision-making.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Strong research and analytical skills, including experience with data collection, literature review, and basic data analysis.
- Competence in documentation and reporting, with the ability to summarize findings clearly and prepare research briefs or presentations.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with community members, colleagues, and project partners on-site.
- Organizational and time-management abilities, including attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple tasks in a field setting.
- Familiarity with environmental, climate, or development-related topics; prior exposure to regenerative agriculture or community development is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages used in Masaka is beneficial.
- Relevant academic background in fields such as environmental studies, social sciences, development studies, or related disciplines.
- Ability to work on-site in Masaka throughout the temporary assignment and adapt to changing project needs.
