Description

UMC Victoria Hospital is hiring a Claims Assistant to support the processing and administration of medical insurance claims.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will ensure timely, accurate, and compliant claims management while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Receive, verify, and process medical insurance claims.
  • Review claims documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Liaise with healthcare providers, insurers, and clients regarding claim requirements.
  • Maintain accurate claims records and databases.
  • Follow up on pending claims and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare claims reports and administrative documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Information Management, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in medical claims processing, insurance, or healthcare administration is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management systems.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
