Description
Yalelo Uganda is hiring a General Worker – Cage Making responsible in assisting in the fabrication, assembly, and repairing of cages.
Reports to: Cage making supervisor
Division: Production
Department: Hardware and Expansion
Grade: GW
Key Responsibilities
- Measuring and cutting pipes according to given specifications.
- Assembling cage components using tools such as butt welding machine, cutters and drilling machine.
- Operating machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist the supervisor on Inspecting cages on the lake for any faults
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Performing repairs and modifications on damaged cages when required.
- Following workplace safety procedures and using personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications & Experience
- UCE or any related technical field
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Physical fitness and ability to lift materials
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and drawings
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Understanding of workplace safety practices
