
Ernst & Young is hiring Financial and Sustainability Reporting Specialists to join our Corporate Reporting Services and Financial Accounting and Advisory teams. As a member of the team, you’ll make a technical contribution to client engagements and internal projects. You’ll actively establish internal and external relationships and identify and escalate potential business opportunities for the Firm. With a clear focus on anticipating and identifying risks, you’ll escalate issues as appropriate. You’ll ensure that the work delivered to clients is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate expertise in relevant accounting frameworks (IFRS Accounting Standards, ISSB Sustainability Reporting Standards, INPAS and IPSAS).
- Provide technical accounting and financial reporting support to clients and internal teams as a financial and sustainability reporting subject matter specialist.
- Drive implementation of new financial and sustainability reporting standards.
- Keep up to date with changes to financial and sustainability reporting standards.
- Perform pre-issuance review of financial statements and sustainability reports.
- Compile financial statements and sustainability reports.
- Be a member of our Professional Practice Group as a financial and sustainability reporting specialist.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- First Class or Second Class – upper bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, or any STEM degree
- Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage
- Full or part professional qualification (CPA, ACCA or other recognised qualification).
- Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards will be an added advantage
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar or related role or otherwise demonstrate ability and interest to quickly learn and handle complex technical financial and sustainability reporting matters.
- Interest and enthusiasm in financial and sustainability reporting.
- Understanding of technical developments and willingness to share knowledge with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to understand unique business scenarios and applying financial and sustainability reporting standards in due consideration of those unique aspects.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite.
