Track and Trace Officer

True North Africa is hiring a Track and Trace Officer with the following responsibilities;

• Ensuring strict compliance with company regulations by drivers
• Identifying on-road exceptions and taking immediate remedial action
• Coordinating and responding to emergency situations

Reports To: Imports Manager
Location: Head Office

Responsibilities

• Track vehicles using GPS system: connect on the IVMS daily to obtain truck positions for each transporter (MSA, en route, at site, returning empty)
• Submit daily, weekly, and comprehensive monthly reports to the supervisor on vehicle movements and issues, including:
  • Daily 09:00am report of truck status per transporter to Mombasa team
  • Truck rotation
  • Transit time
  • Performance per truck / rotation per truck
  • Mileage covered
  • Alerts (speed, night driving)
• Monitor truck driver performance (50+ vehicles): submit daily violations report to QHSE AGL and transporters
• Ensure strict compliance with company regulations by drivers; share daily violations report to AGL and transporters
• Maintain weekly and monthly tracking of violations per truck and per transporter
• Report daily transport and loading forecasts from Mombasa team and consolidate into tracking report (liaising with transporters and Mombasa team)
• Share daily tracking report with client
• Alert client on all convoys approaching site and update ETA (twice daily)
• Maintain communication with convoy leader to ensure convoy management rules are followed
• Compare transporter tracking vs IVMS (ensure convoy distance compliance and follow up on gaps)
• Prepare TSO based on tracking documentation and participate in transporter invoice approval process
• Identify on-road exceptions and take immediate remedial action

Person Specification

Experience:

• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy environment

Education:

• Certificate in Logistics
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or any other relevant discipline
• Certificate in Microsoft Office packages

Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
• Good communication skills (verbal & written)
• Flexibility
