Key Purpose of the Role:
The Packaging Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining packaging equipment, including filling, bottle washing, pasteurization, and labeling processes. This role is crucial in ensuring cost efficiency and maintaining consumer quality. The operator will manage the packaging process and contribute to the optimal effectiveness of operations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Operation & Process Management:
    • Operate equipment and manage associated processes and performance in packaging.
    • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Interpret and implement the production plan for the shift.
    • Operate manual and automatic machines as per standards.
    • Monitor production processes and correct any negative trends.
    • Ensure process quality and productivity.
  • Administration:
    • Complete associated tracking and monitoring.
    • Handle operator workstation administration and take necessary action.
    • Contribute to team room administration and self-development.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Embrace and apply VPO (Value-added Production Optimization) principles and practices.
    • Manage PIMS (Packaging Information Management System) & POMS (Packaging Operations Management System) and address negative trends.
    • Utilize QFRs (Quick Failure Reports) and conduct 5 WHY’s analysis with the team.
    • Contribute to AB reports as required.
  • Autonomous Operations:
    • Clean, inspect, tag, and lubricate machinery.
    • Perform quick fixes, adjust machine settings, and conduct changeovers.
    • Repair and replace basic machine components.
  • Other Duties:
    • Support overall packaging team initiatives.
    • Apply VPO standards.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.Sc. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • Must be hardworking, honest, and self-motivated.
  • Dynamic and a good team player.
  • Excellent commitment to occupational safety, health, and environmental considerations.
  • Knowledge of plant performance and reliability measures.
  • Ability to work in shifts.
