MHE Operator
Role Outline
- Operate the MHEs (Reach truck and Forklift) safely within the warehouse and the yard storage areas.
- Stack and retrieve pallets at various heights according to warehouse procedure.
- Accurately pick, put away, and replenish stocks as directed.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any defects.
- Ensure proper stacking and walkways are maintained-pallet dimensions, stacks and strapping are accurately practiced.
- Recording, in the register, of any incidents & accidents in the warehouse and report.
- Observe safe work practices.
- Ensure forklift movement within the yard is safely done.
- Ensure EHS policies are adhered to.
- Ensure assets are used appropriately in the forklifts.
- Report, escalate and ensure Forklift are in good working condition.
Qualifications & Experience
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE).
- Forklift certificate training.
- Reach Truck certificate training.
- Plant Machine Permit class G.
- Forklift training (LOADS).
